Dr Baojun YANG

Graduated from Department of Geography at Nanjing University in 1984 with a bachelor Degree of Economic Geography, YANG Baojun began his professional career in China Academy of Urban Planning and Design (CAUPD) then. In 1989, he took an advanced study in the department of urban planning in the University of Sheffield. After that, YANG continued his professional career in CAUPD successively holding posts of Director of Branch in Xiamen, Vice director and director of institute of planning and design, Chief planner. The fields of research are Regional economy, Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Urban Design and Real Estate. Recently, Yang pays more attention on Urban Cooperation.

At present, the research and application of Space Syntax in China are in the preliminary stage. In order to guide and direct the construction practices in China which are in large scale and in high speed, I wish learn more about Space Syntax and find the way and opportunity to do more research together with foreign Colleagues. Also, in personal, I am interested in the research about Space Syntax in macro spatial scale instead of micro one, and looking for seeing some case studies in UK.
